Telegraphs

the band

Telegraphs are Darcy Harrison, Hattie Williams, Sam Bacon, Darren LeWarne and Aung Yay. They formed in Brighton in 2005, and since then have been spreading their racket up and down the country, reaching all of its corners and even braving the sea. Last year, Telegraphs went up a mountain in Wales and recorded an album with producer Dave Eringa. This album is called ‘We Were Ghosts’, and it sounds like anxiety, loss, anger and dancing. It is out now.

'A plane crash that never hits the ground, this is a magnificent aural feast that you wish would never end'
KKKK - Kerrang
'Wish Britain's favourite seaside haunt delivering another ace indie-rock band with yet more heart-exploding, emotionally pumped choruses, we're more than ready to hit the beach. And Telegraphs will friggin burn you.'
8/10 - NME
'... Elevating the Telegraphs sound from a well trained house pet to a beast furiously bashing around in a cage. An intelligent, feisty debut that lives up to all of the band's early promise.'
8/10 - Rock Sound
‘…combines ice and fire, burning from the inside with steely confidence and lyrical suss’
THE FLY
“…Telegraphs display both a rugged edge to their songwriting and a tenacity for absolute perfection."
